Yes — every dataset we publish is free at its source, and we link to it on each dataset page. What you pay for is the pipeline: we maintain the scrapers, fix them when agencies redesign their sites, normalise dozens of formats into one schema, record the licence against every table, and keep it fresh. One analyst-day per month of saved wrangling usually pays for Pro.
Each successful call to a /v1/datasets/<name>/data endpoint counts as one request, regardless of how many rows come back. Metadata calls (/v1/datasets, /v1/datasets/<name>) and dataset previews are free.
The Free plan is capped at 50,000 rows per request. Pro and Enterprise are uncapped. The cap is signalled in response headers (X-Plan-Row-Cap) when it kicks in.
There is no time-limited Pro trial — the Free plan is for sampling and testing. Ten requests per month at 50,000 rows each is enough to browse datasets, pull a few tables, and confirm the data fits your project. For ongoing production use, upgrade to Pro. If you need a short evaluation window beyond Free during procurement, contact us.
Cancel any time from your billing portal — access continues until the end of the paid period, then your key reverts to Free. If you were charged in error or upgraded by mistake, email contact within 14 days and we will refund the most recent charge. Enterprise contracts follow the terms in your order form.
Yes — upgrades take effect immediately and Stripe prorates the difference. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. Cancel any time via the billing portal; your key keeps working on the Free plan.
Snowflake zero-copy data share (read-only Iceberg tables, you pay your own Snowflake compute), the /v1/integrations/* connector-config generators (Meltano, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory) accessible via the CLI or API, custom dataset onboarding, a written SLA, and direct support. Yes — Pro and Enterprise can request the current snapshot of any CC-BY dataset as a single Parquet, CSV.gz, or GeoParquet file via GET /v1/bulk/<namespace>/<table>. Free will get a monthly snapshot (rolling out shortly). OECD and other non-CC-BY datasets are query-only — see Terms §5.
Yes — drop us a line via contact with a short note about the use case and we'll get back to you within a couple of working days.
Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, and Google Pay — anything Stripe supports. Annual billing and bank-transfer invoicing available on Enterprise.
Your dashboard shows month-to-date request count, your cap, and a request log. Each response also returns your remaining quota in the X-RateLimit-Remaining header.
